Do better

The fashion industry is one of the most pollutive in the world, and to say that we are sustainable is not correct.

In Last Studio, we focus on key areas where we are trying to do better and make a lesser impact from season to season.

Firstly, LAST STUDIO is a member of LWG (Leather Working Group), which means we are obliged to buy leather from tanneries which have been audited in accordance with LWG rules. The key areas are handling of chemicals, water usage when tanning and wastewater management.

Secondly, we product mainly in Europe and are working within EU requirements. This means we have high standards according to REACH and we must follow the legislation accordingly.

Thirdly, we believe that the best way to be sustainable is through creating quality products with a long-life span. We need to recognize that the main problem in fashion industry is the amount of product which is consumed and to the quality level it is made. We believe that better quality equals longer lifespan which equals lesser impact.
